school Assemblies

Client Review

Reaction Dance Company NYC is wonderful! It has been such a pleasure working with Juliette and her dancers. Juliette is incredibly professional, organized, and dedicated. She went above and beyond to navigate all the requirements and approvals needed to bring her dance troupe to our school, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. Her school assembly programs are both educational and engaging. Juliette does an amazing job of getting students excited to learn about different cultures through dance, and the interactive nature of the performances keeps everyone involved. Reaction Dance Company has been delighting and energizing young audiences with their multicultural school dance assemblies for over 10 years. Through our work, we hope to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, inspire cultural awareness, and foster appreciation for the many communities and traditions that shape our world. By blending education with high-energy performance, we create engaging experiences that encourage students to connect, celebrate differences, and see dance as a universal language that brings people together. These assemblies are interactive, bringing kids on stage to try things out for themselves.

We've worked with the following partners: Arts Horizons, Google, Nassua PTA, &The Ronald McDonald House Charities.

We have three assemblies you can choose from:

1. Fuego: Dances from Latin America — Great for Hispanic Heritage celebrations, this assembly explores the vibrant dances and music of Latin America.

2. The Globalization of Hip Hop — This assembly tells the story of how hip hop made its way around the world. Students learn how hip hop started and how it evolved globally to influence styles such as K-pop, reggaeton, and urban bhangra.

3. Celebrations of India and Pakistan — This assembly takes a look at South Asian culture and dance, featuring styles such as bhangra and Bollywood. We’ll also explore cultural celebrations including Eid, Diwali, Holi, and more.

We partner with the following organizations to help fund your assemblies:

  1. We are an NYC DOE vendor.

  2. We work with BOCES.
